The Complete Beauty Therapy course commences every year from September / October and runs until
July of the next year.
These beauty Therapy Courses are essential for those wanting to work in the beauty salon and spa industries. You will be equipped with up to date skills and knowledge to help you secure the best positions within the beauty industry both locally and internationally.
Our Beauty Therapy courses include a complete Beauty Therapy course, a Beauty Specialist course and a Body Therapy course.
Course 1: Complete beauty therapy course - itec & cidesco
Do you want to be a fully qualified beauty therapist to the highest standard? Then this course is for you. Our complete beauty therapy course runs over 10 months and covers beauty, facial electrical, body therapy and body electrical treatments to level 2&3. The awarding bodies are ITEC & CIDESCO which are both internationally recognised as being the top qualifications in beauty therapy.
Course content
Beauty Specialist - the day to day treatments synonymous with salon work.
- Cleansing techniques and product knowledge in professional product ranges -Dermalogica – Epionce– Skinician.
- Skin Analysis – Essential skills to learn how to analysis skin types, conditions, and disorders.
- Exfoliation Techniques – The use and application of various products from manual exfoliation, enzeme peels, AHA’s and Alpha Hydroxy Acids.
- Deep Cleanse – The use of electrical brush cleansing machines and Ozone steaming.
- Massage Techniques – To include the face, neck, chest and shoulders. The use of treatment oils and essential oil blending.
- Masks – Application and Knowledge on various mask products, from clay, fruit, hot il and paraffin wax.
- Brow and Lash Treatment – Master the art of the perfect brow – Tint Wax Mapping.
- Lash Enhancement – Tinting Techniques to lengthen and define the look of lashes.
The Facial Experience – Learning how to adapt all the above skills to tailor make a prescription facial for any skin types or condition.
Manicure & Pedicure
- Basic and Deluxe Manicure and Pedicure treatments taught.
- Gel polish training for the ultimate 3-week manicure. Includes product knowledge and Anatomy and Physiology of the hand and foot.
Waxing
- Cool and Hot wax systems are both taught in this section and include full leg, bikini, underarm, facial waxing, and the perfect brow.
- Advanced waxing can be added to this part of the course after initial wax training for a fee of £100
Facial Electrical
- Essential for many high end salons and skincare ranges
- Study and application of five pieces of electrical equipment which enhance the effectiveness of facial treatments
- Facial Electrical treatments are an advanced therapy to treat conditions under and on the skin surface.
- This Qualification is essential to advance onto other skills such as Laser and Facial Aesthetics treatments.
- 5 Machines are included in this training section.
- Duration of Beauty course – 5 Months Full time and 8 Months part time.
- Starts September – October each year. Late enrolments are excepted on application and college discretions.
Body Therapy
- A must for gaining employment in the luxury spa industry
- Body Massage - Learning massage techniques for full body massage. Learn skills on how to adapt massage pressure and movements to treat everything for pain, deep tissue fatigue, or simply an indulgent relaxing treatment. Includes knowledge on essential oil blending.
Body Electrical Therapy
- Learn how to treat various areas of the body to aid in removal of cellulite, stretch marks, muscle tone and postural defaults.
Includes the learning of 5 Machines:
- Faradic – Re - tone the muscles without the work out.
- Galvanic – Aids in removal of cellulite.
- Vacuum Suction – Improves general wellbeing and aid in the removal of toxins.
- Microcurrent – Improves the appearance of stretch marks.

Course 2: Beauty Specialist - ITEC
This is where you start your studies in beauty therapy whether you are doing the complete course or just the beauty specialist course. We cover ITEC level 2 Beauty Specialist and ITEC level 3 Facial electrical treatments. Assessment is through multiple choice theory papers, case studies which you complete in class and a practical examination. On completion of this course students can progress onto the body therapy course number 3 below to complete their full qualification.

Business Studies and Professional Conduct
Essential to have an in-depth knowledge of how a business operates including taxation, insurance, health and safety, hygiene and sterilisation and client care.

Course 3: FACIAL ELECTRICAL COURSE - ITEC Level 3
Covers 5 electrical therapy techniques. The skills learnt will allow you to provide advanced facial services to clients following the assessment of your clients needs. You will learn to effectively use a wide range of facial products, massage techniques, mask treatments and aftercare products for a wide range of skin types and conditions. This is a key skill for any therapist wanting to provide increasing popular advanced skincare treatments.

COURSE 6: ITEC Level 2 Skincare and ITEC Level 3 Facial Electrical Therapy. COMBINED WITH THE MOST UP TO DATE ADVANCED FACIAL TREATMENTS.
